Tommy Hayes became the first player to make 100 appearances for Glasgow Rugby when he appeared as a substitute in the Welsh/Scottish League match against Llanelli at Stradey Park in April 2002.

Two weeks later, again as a replacement, he reached another major milestone when he became the first to reach 1000 points for Glasgow, kicking a conversion in the league game against Newport at Hughenden.

He has now played 121 games and scored 1183 points (28 tries, 163 conversions, 236 penalty goals, and 3 drop goals). International record: 2 World Cup qualifying matches for Cook Islands in 1998.

Tommy has had a great start to his time at Sixways. On the field he looks calm and confident, has the ability to see the smallest of gaps and accelerate through, kowing exactly what he has to do with the ball once through. It is now for the inside centers to learn and be there and they will profit as will the team. Tommy is solid in defence and hits hard when the occaision arises.

His kicking, both for goal nd position, is already proving to be a weapon we have been missing for a long, long time
